Job Summary
Deliver end-to-end Workday integration solutions by designing, building, testing, and deploying integrations that connect Workday with external systems across HCM, Finance, Payroll, and other applications, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and third-party tools to enable seamless data flow across systems
- Develop and maintain BIRT reports using Eclipse IDE to support business reporting needs
- Prepare detailed functional specifications and Workday integration workbooks, securing stakeholder approval to ensure alignment with business requirements
- Perform impact analysis and effort estimation to support Workday upgrades and releases, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Execute and review System Integration Testing (SIT) plans, including defining test scenarios, preparing test data, and validating results to guarantee integration quality
- Participate actively in Software Development Methodology (SDM) processes and prepare delivery artefacts to maintain project governance
- Engage with stakeholders to lead requirement discussions, finalize integration specifications, and provide clear, concise status updates to ensure transparency
- Track delivery progress, manage dependencies, escalate risks promptly, and drive timely delivery of integration solutions
- Ensure all deliverables and documentation meet quality standards, completeness, and compliance requirements
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent from a recognized university
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Workday Integration development
- Strong proficiency in Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, Custom Reports, XML, XSLT, Document Transformations, and SOAP APIs/Web Services
- Solid functional knowledge of HCM processes within Workday
- Basic understanding of Workday Security Configuration and Business Processes
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
- Experience with PECI / PICOF Payroll integrations, Integration Security, JavaScript, HTML, and JSON
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Workday Integration certification (preferred)
- Experience with Unix scripting
- Familiarity with Connect:Direct, Control-M job scheduling, and SFTP protocols
- Knowledge of Travel & Expense, Payroll, Absence & Time Tracking modules
- Experience with Recruitment integrations
- Exposure to Workday Extend, PRISM, and Adaptive Planning platforms
