A leading safety consultancy in Singapore is looking for a Workplace Safety and Health Officer to manage safety operations at construction sites. The role involves ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations, conducting safety training, and acting as a liaison with authorities. Candidates should possess a Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health and have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction safety. An attractive salary and performance bonuses are offered.
Duration: 1 year contract (renewable/convertible)
Location: Ang Mo Kio + Client Sites
Salary Range: Up to $5000 + Performance Bonus
Working Hours & Days: Mon to Fri (8.30am to 6pm)
Execute all statutory duties as the registered WSHO and ECO for the site
Ensure full compliance with the WSH Act, Construction Regulations, and related codes
Implement, monitor, and review project safety systems such as Risk Management (RM), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Permit-to-Work (PTW)
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments; recommend and track corrective actions
Investigate incidents and near misses; implement preventive measures and report to MOM as required
Plan and conduct safety training, inductions, toolbox talks, and briefings
Develop, maintain, and test emergency response and evacuation plans
Act as primary liaison with authorities (MOM, SCDF, BCA) and clients on all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) matters
Maintain all safety documentation and prepare regular performance reports
Promote safety initiatives and drive the continuous improvement of site EHS standards
Possess a Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health or a MOM‑recognized equivalent qualification
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant WSH experience in the construction industry.
Must be a registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Environmental Control Officer (ECO) for Specified Construction Sites with the National Environment Agency (NEA)
In-depth knowledge of WSH (Construction) Regulations, Codes of Practice, and other relevant local legislation
Proven experience with risk assessment methodologies, safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, bizSAFE), and environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001)
Certified in First Aid, Working at Height, Confined Space Safety, and other relevant safety competencies
Willing to work overtime and on weekends if required
