A leading wildlife management company in Singapore is seeking a Wildlife Research Assistant (Ad-Hoc) to assist in various consultancy tasks including field surveys, data analysis, and report writing. Ideal candidates are second year students in related disciplines with experience in avian identification. This position offers hourly pay of $10-$15 depending on assignment. Looking for a Wildlife Research Assistant (Ad-Hoc) to join us!

Mastermark is Singapore’s leading bird and wildlife management company, striving to provide innovative solutions through end-to-end services and products to help manage human-wildlife conflicts locally and abroad. You will be assisting the wildlife consultancy department in their day-to-day responsibilities, including airport wildlife consultancy services and environmental monitoring and management programmes.

What you will be working on:
  • Field surveys and wildlife identification
  • Data collation and analysis
  • Literature review and report writing
  • Wildlife carcass dissection and autopsy
  • Protocol development of the above processes
  • Experimental design and execution – such as manipulating environmental variables and assessing their impact on wildlife community composition, behaviour, etc.
What we are looking for:
  • Minimally Diploma or ongoing undergraduate study (second year students preferred) in Life Sciences, Ecology, Environmental Management or related disciplines
  • Experience with avian identification would be preferable
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel and QGIS will be an added advantage

As this is a ad-hoc position, you will be paid hourly ($10-$15 per hour) and/or on per assignment basis.
