Job Summary
The Wealth Management Operations Officer is responsible for the end-to-end operational support of structured products and hedge fund investments offered to wealth management clients, ensuring accurate trade booking, funds onboarding, lifecycle management, settlement, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance. The role works closely with Front Office, Investment/Product teams, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Custody, and external counterparties to ensure smooth execution and post-trade processing.
Job Responsibilities
Transaction Support & Product Lifecycle Management
- Support the execution of structured products and onboarding of hedge funds.
- Maintain static data and investor records in internal systems.
- Ensure timely trade verification and settlement of transactions.
- Support ongoing lifecycle management of structured products and hedge funds.
Operational Control & Compliance
- Perform daily/periodic reconciliations between internal systems, custodians, and counterparties.
- Investigate and resolve breaks, discrepancies, and failed settlements in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of positions, cash flows, and valuations.
- Escalate operational risks, exceptions, or breaches promptly.
- Assist with internal audits, external audits, and regulatory or management reporting.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as an operations liaison for Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors, and Product teams.
- Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians and external service providers.
- Respond to operational inquiries from internal stakeholders and, where required, clients.
Process Improvement & Workflow Controls
- Identify operational inefficiencies and propose process enhancements or automation.
- Assist in system enhancements, UAT testing, and implementation of new products or platforms.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in operations, fund administration, or back office roles within wealth management, asset management, or fund services.
- Good understanding of structured products and hedge fund structures.
- Familiarity with trade lifecycle processes, settlement, custody, and cash management.
- Experience with investment operations systems, fund administrators and custodians.
- Willingness to learn new products and adapt to regulatory or business
