Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, inventory accuracy, timely dispatch, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The role focuses on optimizing warehouse productivity, controlling costs, and supporting seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations Management

• Oversee daily warehouse activities: receiving, storage, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure smooth material flow/material controls.
• Optimal warehouse space utilization.
• Follow the company directed documentation processes & systems for Warehouse management.
• Physical checks on all inwards and outward movements, all exceptions noted and informed as per forms & process defined.
• Conduct physical audits of materials and shipments as directed.
• Coordinate with transporters, vendors, and internal teams for timely receipts and dispatches.
• Ensure careful handling of shipments to avoid damage.
• Ensure International containers are loaded/unloaded prior to any detention charges being applied.

2. Cost Management & Control

• Control operational costs within the allocated budget related to labor, Transport & utilities.
• Optimize resources to improve cost efficiency.

3. Team Leadership & Workforce Management

• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff, and contract labor.
• Manage planning, productivity, attendance, and performance.

4. Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory norms, and company policies.
• Maintain Warehouse housekeeping, fire safety, and material handling equipment compliance.

LIMITS OF AUTHORITY

Financial : Full authority to expend Company funds in accordance with Company Policy contained in the Company Policy Manual.

Operational : Full authority to recommend to the Operations Manager, changes in administrative or operational procedures resulting in maximizing efficiency and enhancing customer service.

Personnel : Full authority to recommend to the Operations Manager changes and initiatives with regards to the handling team personnel and Labor.
