INFO : Established contract manufacturing company at Kaki Bukit MRT , Basic $3,500 to $4,500 + 13 mths AWs + Bonus + yearly increment + permanent staff benefits

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a vision inspection system with AI

• Design, develop, and implement machine vision solutions for inspection, alignment, measurement, and identification processes.
• Integrate cameras, lighting, lenses, and vision software into automated production and test systems.
• Work with smart cameras and PC-based vision platforms (e.g., Cognex, Keyence, HALCON, OpenCV, NI Vision).

• Develop image processing algorithms (e.g., defect detection, OCR, pattern matching).
• Optimize performance for accuracy, speed, and reliability under varying production conditions.
• Program vision systems using C/C++, C#, Python, or proprietary SDKs.

• Interface vision systems with PLCs, robots, motion controllers, and MES systems.

• Conduct offline and on-site testing of vision systems.
• Fine-tune vision parameters for real-time performance and minimize false positives/negatives.

• Prepare functional specifications, vision test plans, and validation reports.
• Collaborate with process, automation, and manufacturing teams on project implementation.
• Maintain proper version control, backups, and system documentation.

• Provide on-site debugging and troubleshooting support for production line issues.
• Train technicians and engineers in system usage and maintenance

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering , Computer Science or any related discipline
• No experience required (Intern exposure in software design preferred)
• Working experience in vision application development with hardware selection and software implementation will be considered for a SENIOR role
• Experience in develop and implement a vision inspection system with AI deep learning capabilities with software engine/tools like VPDL, VisionTrain
• Experience in software programming using C# with Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience in PC based software design and implementation in auto machine/equipment development will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Microsoft C# will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of machine learning or deep learning for visual inspection is a plus.
• Familiar with GD&T, IPC standards, or semiconductor packaging inspection (if industry-relevant).
• Willing to learn and adapt to new technology quickly.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to travel in short notice and good in customer engineering
