Position Overview

The Vice President of Solutions & Engineering will lead the technical strategy, engineering design, and solution delivery for the company’s data center portfolio across APAC and global markets. This role is responsible for developing technical standards, driving site selection evaluations, leading engineering design execution, and ensuring successful delivery of data center projects that meet customer, regulatory, and operational requirements.

The role requires deep professional expertise in data center engineering, electrical power systems, and large-scale construction management, with proven capability in engaging global technology clients and colocation providers.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Strategy

• Define and lead the technical vision, engineering roadmap, and solutions architecture for the company’s data center developments.
• Establish technical baselines and standardized processes for overseas site selection and engineering design.
• Develop engineering standards for electrical, mechanical, and power systems based on industry best practices.

Data Center Solutions & Design

• Lead end-to-end design delivery of data centers across multiple regions (e.g., Southeast Asia will be a plus).
• Oversee electrical and mechanical system topology, including medium and low voltage systems, DC & UPS systems, and power distribution.
• Translate customer requirements from global technology clients into feasible technical solutions.

Site Selection & Acquisition

• Lead the overseas data center site selection team, including risk assessments, infrastructure evaluation, and supplier capability analysis.
• Manage technical evaluations for potential sites and projects, including large-scale portfolios.
• Ensure alignment with procurement, planning, and project delivery teams to meet project timelines.

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Oversee overall project management for site acquisition and technical delivery.
• Lead technical negotiations with global colocation companies across APAC, EMEA, and Americas.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and quality project execution.
• Support SLA definition and technical terms during commercial negotiations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in data center engineering, construction, or related power/energy industries.
• Proven record in delivering multi-site data center projects internationally.
• Strong understanding of customer needs from global technology companies.
• Hands-on experience in construction processes, mechanical & electrical systems, and project management.
• Experience managing large regional technical teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
