Veterinary Nurse – Internal Medicine Department
Location: Singapore
Salary: £34,000 – £50,000 DOE
Working Hours: 4-day week, 7am–7pm or 9am–9pm (including weekends & public holidays)

The 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) department is fully equipped with advanced facilities and staffed by experienced veterinarians and nurses capable of handling any pet health emergency. Beyond medical and surgical treatment, the hospital also offers care through certified hydro therapists and rehabilitation professionals, helping pets recover faster and enjoy a higher quality of life.

About the Role

The Internal Medicine Nursing team is seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Nurse to join their dynamic hospital environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced setting, providing compassionate care while performing advanced nursing duties and supporting specialist veterinarians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide triage and assist with admitting new cases.
  • Comfortably restrain patients for examinations and treatments.
  • Prioritise patient care and manage a diverse and occasionally intense workload.
  • Perform advanced nursing skills including monitoring and maintenance of general anaesthesia, radiography, dispensing controlled drugs, and operating monitoring/diagnostic equipment.
  • Aid in anaesthesia monitoring and recovery for medical cases.
  • Assist internal medicine veterinarians in the care and treatment of inpatients, including ICU cases.
  • Participate in diagnostic imaging such as radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy.
  • Recognise changes in patient condition, adjust care plans appropriately, and communicate with the clinician in charge.
  • Interpret laboratory test results and elevate urgent findings promptly.
  • Prepare patients for surgeries, manage postoperative bandaging, and oversee recovery.
  • Accurately generate client invoices and maintain meticulous records, particularly for anaesthesia and hospitalisation.
  • Provide nursing consultations and expert advice to clients.
  • Supervise and mentor junior veterinary nurses, patient care assistants, students, and volunteers.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through lectures, literature, and in‑patient rounds.
