Veterinary Nurses/Technicians

Paws N Claws Veterinary Surgery is an established Fear‑Free concept clinic now expanding and recruiting nurses for both locations.

We pride ourselves on excellent veterinary care and a desirable working environment, touching the lives of both patients and clients. We see a range of animals from small furry pocket pets to avians.

Passionate about working up cases in-house, we are well equipped with a wide range of equipment including digital radiography, ultrasonography, iM3 GS dental unit, in‑house IDEXX biochemistry and haematology machines, a surgery room with isoflurane‑anaesthetic machine and many more.

Providing a separate consult room for cats to lower stress and an enthusiastic and supportive team of full‑time nurses and several part‑time members. We are lucky to have a hospital close by should we need any specialist advice or referrals.

Requirements and responsibilities:

  • Triaging and administrative work
  • Handling and restrain of animals
  • Surgical preparation and monitoring
  • Hospitalisation care
  • In‑house diagnostics procedures
  • Cleaning and maintaining the clinic
  • Good communication and initiative

The position is full time and rotated with our new Yishun location. 4 shifts from 10am – 11pm with a 2 ½hr break.

Requirements:

  • Initiative and good communication is preferred
  • No experience needed, but some animal handling experience is preferred
  • A diploma or degree equivalent in veterinary nursing or 2 or more years’ experience post qualification is advantageous but not required
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess drive, initiative and ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Able to work on weekends
