  • Supervision and management of the conversion yard contractor.
  • Daily management of the discipline technicians and inspectors.
  • Ensure quality of the work on site.
  • On schedule completion of shipyard R&LE and construction activities.
  • Ensuring that the hull and marine interfaces with risers, topsides, mooring are effectively managed.
  • Monitoring and reporting progress, areas of concern and identifying and implementing corrective and mitigating actions.
  • Identify, report and follow up / mitigate risks.
  • Driver for system / sub-system mechanical completions.
  • Be responsible for subcontractors and vendors at the shipyard.
  • Preparation of JSA’s and Method statements for commissioning activities / LUN.
  • Confirmation of status of completion and punch lists.

Education

A university degree in relevant field or a combination of education and experience.

The Vessel Delivery Manager, reports to the Project Manager and has the delegated executive responsibility for the safe, timely and efficient execution of the Construction. The role will take a leadership role in all the Construction delivery activities on site including supervision of all the technicians under his assigned scope of work and be the daily counterpart to the Yard Construction Manager (s), with daily focus on Construction and installation activities and coordination with shipyard and site team superintendents and supervisors.

Health and safety of project personnel and technicians on site

  • Supervision and management of the conversion yard contractor.
  • Daily management of the discipline technicians and inspectors.
  • Ensure quality of the work on site.
  • On schedule completion of shipyard R&LE and construction activities.
  • Ensuring that the hull and marine interfaces with risers, topsides, mooring are effectively managed.
  • Monitoring and reporting progress, areas of concern and identifying and implementing corrective and mitigating actions.
  • Identify, report and follow up / mitigate risks.
  • Driver for system / sub-system mechanical completions.

Be responsible for subcontractors and vendors at the shipyard

  • Acceptance of Mechanically Complete Systems from the Construction Group.
  • Preparation of JSA’s and Method statements for commissioning activities / LUN.
  • Responsible for all commissioning HSE related commissioning activities for his team.
  • Confirmation of status of completion and punch lists.
  • QHSSE Duties – every employee shall:
    • Take care of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts or oversights;
    • Not interfere with or misuse anything supplied for their health, safety and welfare;
    • Report quality related problems and HSSE hazards or deficits within their area to the QHSSE department;
    • Promote and take part in the QHSSE continuous improvement process.
