Job summary

A leading personnel agency is seeking a Technician for a 1-year renewable contract located in Tuas, Singapore. The role involves assisting engineers and supervising construction progress for environmental projects. Candidates should have a minimum Nitec in Engineering, preferably with 6–8 years of experience and strong technical skills. This position offers a salary range of $2,000 to $7,000/month, with bonuses and allowances provided. Willingness to work rotating shifts in a waste-to-energy environment is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Nitec in any Engineering course.
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Electrical/Boiler/Safety certifications are advantageous.
  • Knowledge in solid waste management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Navisworks/Primavera P6 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers and supervise construction progress for IWMF projects.
  • Coordinate with consultants on design compliance.
  • Participate in testing and commissioning local and overseas.
  • Lead technical teams and coordinate with contractors.
  • Implement preventive maintenance and manage M&E contracts.

Job description

Position: Technician

Contract: 1-year (Renewable & Convertible)

Salary: $2,000 – $7,000/month (based on experience & qualifications)

Allowance/Bonus:

  • Shift Allowance: $300/month
  • Mid-Year Bonus
  • Yearly Variable Bonus: 1–2 months

Working Hours:

  • Shift Work (12 hours)
  • Rotating Shift (5 working days)

Leave: 14–18 days Annual Leave

Transport: Company shuttle bus provided (Tuas MRT)

Job Scope
  • Assist engineers and supervise construction progress for IWMF projects
  • Coordinate with consultants and stakeholders on design compliance and statutory requirements
  • Participate in testing, commissioning, and FATs (local and overseas)
  • Support maintenance and operations of the waste-to-energy facility (TSIP)
  • Lead technical teams and coordinate with contractors for smooth operations
  • Implement preventive maintenance and manage contracts for M&E systems
  • Enforce safety protocols and supervise contractor work
  • Prepare SOPs and equipment testing programs
  • Drive safety and improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Minimum Nitec in any Engineering course
  • Preferably 6–8 years of relevant experience
  • Advantageous: Electrical/Boiler/Safety certifications
  • Strong technical and analytical skills; knowledge in solid waste management a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Navisworks/Primavera P6 preferred
