Following a retirement, we are looking for a local Compliance Officer who thrives at the intersection of traditional MAS regulations and modern FinTech efficiency. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Compliance Officer is a critical role at the Company and the post holder must intimately know current rules and regulations of the trust industry in Singapore to ensure that our reputation and capital are protected by maintaining a good standing with our regulators, clients, staff and business partners. You will oversee our regulatory ecosystem. You aren't just a gatekeeper; you are an enabler of our digital-first onboarding process.
The post holder will also perform the role of Data Protection Officer.

· The post holder will also perform the role of Data Protection Officer.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the Company continues to meet the Singapore regulatory requirements for Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing under the CDSA, MAS Notice TCA-N03 and MAS FSG-G01 guidelines issued May 2025 on Fit and Proper criteria.
Legal Compliance: Ensure the Company continues to meet the Singapore regulatory requirements under the Trust Companies Act, Trust Companies Regulations and the Guidelines laid down by MAS.
Strategic Compliance: Supported by our Compliance Assistant, work alongside our Senior Trust Administrator and Trust Admin Assistant teams to ensure digital client data is high-quality, auditable, and secure.
Tech-Oversight: Manage and refine our 10-Step Digital Onboarding workflow to ensure it meets the latest MAS Notice TCA-N03 (June 2025 updates).
MAS Liaison: Act as the primary contact for MAS, handling all MAS-Tx filings and ensuring Riverside remains a "Fit and Proper" gold standard.
Innovation: Help us integrate new tech (like Proliferation Financing risk scoring) into our digitised Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA).
Internal IPPCs: Review and advise the Board on amendments to the Internal Policies, Procedures and Controls documentation so as to ensure that it can adequately address the risks faced by the Company.
Annual Compliance Plan: Maintain and continue to develop our annual compliance plan to ensure that the risks faced by the Company are adequately addressed through the Internal Policies, Procedures and Controls documentation and Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessments with proposals for suggested amendments to the Board.
Quarterly Compliance Report: Prepare a quarterly compliance report for the Board summarising relevant matters from the past quarter such AML matters, onboarding matters, new staff compliance, new regulatory updated circulated, changes to polices and other specific other relevant matters etc.
Investigate suspicious transactions reported by the staff or collaborating party user interface providers and advise Management on the appropriate actions to take. Lodge Suspicious Transition Reports ("STR") via SONAR digital portal and maintain STR Register.
Internal Audit: Review past internal audit reports on the Company’s AML/CFT policies, procedures and controls and liaise with Internal Audit team in relation to annual reviews and monitoring of compliance and corporate governance policies.
AML/CFT/PF Training: Develop and deliver AML/CTF/PF compliance training to new and existing staff.
Data Protection: As appointed Data Protection office (DPO) deal with matters arising in relation to data protection, including keeping DP policies and procedures up- to-date.
Local Talent: Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Expertise: 5+ years in a Licensed Trust Company (LTC).
Digital Fluency: Comfortable with Microsoft OS, digital onboarding platforms, and SONAR/STR filing.

Qualifications: relevant professional qualification, such as from ACAMS, STEP, SAICSA, ICA or equivalent;
bachelor’s degree or equivalent in law, accountancy or business;
past experience as Data Protection Officer;
past experience dealing with MAS.
