We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President.

In this role you will:

Impact on the Business

• Work as part of a team dedicated to the review and negotiation of documentation related to Bond transactions covering Conventional Debt, Medium Term Note Programmes, Structured Finance and others, Loan Facility transactions such as Syndicated Facilities, Project and Export Finance, Islamic Financing and others, Escrow transactions and Initial Public Offering Receiving Bank transactions, liaising with arrangers, lead managers, issuers, lenders, external counsel and internal Group Legal where required as well as working closely with the Client Services, Business Development and Risk teams
• Involve managing, together with internal and external counsel and senior business managers where appropriate, post closing amendments ranging from simple routine non material waivers to defaults and enforcement situations

Customers / Stakeholders

• At all time work pro-actively with clients to ensure a smooth and high standard of service delivery to our clients
• Help Business Development identify possible areas of product expansion as well as maintain our existing clients base

Leadership & Teamwork

• Not only review the transactions to ensure compliance with HSBC’s standards but also perform an analysis of the transaction’s structure as a whole from a legal and operational perspective
• Maintain a good level of competency through self-training and help develop the overall knowledge of the team
• Fulfil additional duties and/or tasks as required to support the growth of the business

Operational Effectiveness & Control

• Be responsible for the on-boarding of new transactions and effecting a successful hand-over to the relevant client services teams for post-closing administration

To be successful you will need:

• Previous experience in a comparable role within Corporate Trust Transaction Management or law firm and operational knowledge essential
• Some previous credit and loan documentation experience and understanding of banking operations is desirable
• Sufficient structure finance experience to ensure the Group is not expose to any operational or reputational risks
• Client focused
• Demonstrate a strong track record in a transaction manager or comparable legal role
• Good communicator, both written and verbally
