About ICAP :

ICAP, part of TP ICAP group, provides a wide variety of execution and information services to wholesale market participants.

We offer broking services covering a wide range of asset classes, including Commodities, Credit, Equities, FX, Money Market Funds and Rates.

For each asset class, ICAP offers e-trading capability, giving clients the option to enter prices and execute trades directly via one of our hybrid electronic trading systems, or to engage with brokers who can identify and negotiate trades.

Role Overview :

The NDF desk is seeking a Trainee Broker to join their Singapore team. This is an entry level role into the world of Broking and this opportunity can provide the successful applicant with on-the-job training and exposure to the financial markets we operate within. We are ideally looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual that can work autonomously and collaboratively in a small team and can think on their feet. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly experienced team and would be perfect for somebody looking to start their career in Financial Services.

Responsibilities :
  • Promote ICAP as a company
  • Provide complete support to the brokers for the smooth running of the desk
  • Ensure timely input of trades into trading systems
  • Resolve any trade queries received internally and externally, and ensure any trade discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner

  • Update real-time manual / electronic whiteboards with market data
  • Provide input on various projects for brokers and traders

  • Give live quotes to traders through the messaging systems
  • Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments
  • Understand the underlying products being traded and keep up to date with knowledge of new products / procedures
  • Liaise with clients, (via telephone and face to face) to understand the business objectives of your clients as to provide a reliable and efficient broking service
  • Develop new business with existing clients and on-board new clients following the correct process with the Client On-Boarding team
