Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Operations/Palm Oil Trader. The successful candidate will oversee trading operations, develop marketing strategies, coordinate shipping logistics, follow up on payments, and manage shipping and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Develop and execute trading strategies for palm oil and related products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, buyers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify new trading and marketing opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Manage shipping logistics, ensuring efficient coordination with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs agents.
  • Prepare and handle shipping and trade documentation, including bills of lading, letters of credit, certificates of origin, and other necessary paperwork.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on payment schedules and compliance with agreed terms.
  • Monitor market trends, global demand, and regulatory changes impacting the palm oil trade.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to maximize profitability while managing risk.
Qualifications and Skills :
  • No prior experience in trading, marketing, or logistics within the palm oil or agricultural commodities industry required but would be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing shipping documents such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant business and logistics tools or software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and solve problems proactively.
