RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a deep understanding of our product line and how to apply it in the field to meet customer expectations
- Conduct electroplating and surface treatment experiments in our laboratory to demonstrate our process capability to customers.
- Operate analytical equipment such as SEM, GC-MS, XRF, and ICP under the supervision of the Product Application Leader.
- Visit customer sites to oversee the start-up of new chemical and equipment installations
- Investigate quality complaints from customers to determine the root cause of their issue. Work with the Quality team and global resources to develop corrective actions.
- Perform audits on existing processes and machines at customers’ sites.
- Conduct technical presentations to introduce Technic Products to customers
- Conduct technical training for customers’ technical personnel.
- Trouble shooting process parameters to achieve optimum process parameters
- Conduct running cost optimization to meet targeted running cost and to achieve a lower guaranteed running cost.
- Provide technical advice and information to Account Manager to assist in developing commercial proposals to customers.
- Generate and maintain complete well-organized records for all service activities including service visits
- Any other ad hoc assignments as delegated by the Company from time to time
- Compliance with ISO 9001 related to technical service.
This role requires significant collaboration and communication both internally and externally. Much of the work will require engagement with several functions (e.g. Sales, Technical, Operations) within the TAP territory. The role may require regular travel to Malaysia, Vietnam, The Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia (1-2 times per month).
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Experience: 5 Years of experience in surface treatments for the Electronics or Semiconductor Industries, with at least 2 years’ experience with process equipment in a manufacturing environment.
