Job summary

A leading HR advisory firm in Singapore is seeking a candidate for a technical role focused on surface treatments in the Electronics and Semiconductor Industries. You will conduct experiments, operate analytical equipment, and provide technical training and support to customers. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, with 5 years of related experience, including 2 years in a manufacturing environment. Regular travel to Malaysia, Vietnam, and other regional locations is required.

  • At least 2 years of experience with process equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the product line to meet customer expectations.
  • Conduct electroplating and surface treatment experiments in the laboratory.
  • Operate analytical equipment under supervision.
  • Visit customer sites for new installations and oversee start-ups.
  • Conduct audits on existing processes at customer sites.
  • Provide technical advice to assist in developing commercial proposals.
  • Maintain well-organized records for all service activities.

Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Develop a deep understanding of our product line and how to apply it in the field to meet customer expectations
  2. Conduct electroplating and surface treatment experiments in our laboratory to demonstrate our process capability to customers.
  3. Operate analytical equipment such as SEM, GC-MS, XRF, and ICP under the supervision of the Product Application Leader.
  4. Visit customer sites to oversee the start-up of new chemical and equipment installations
  5. Investigate quality complaints from customers to determine the root cause of their issue. Work with the Quality team and global resources to develop corrective actions.
  6. Perform audits on existing processes and machines at customers’ sites.
  7. Conduct technical presentations to introduce Technic Products to customers
  8. Conduct technical training for customers’ technical personnel.
  9. Trouble shooting process parameters to achieve optimum process parameters
  10. Conduct running cost optimization to meet targeted running cost and to achieve a lower guaranteed running cost.
  11. Provide technical advice and information to Account Manager to assist in developing commercial proposals to customers.
  12. Generate and maintain complete well-organized records for all service activities including service visits
  13. Any other ad hoc assignments as delegated by the Company from time to time
  14. Compliance with ISO 9001 related to technical service.

This role requires significant collaboration and communication both internally and externally. Much of the work will require engagement with several functions (e.g. Sales, Technical, Operations) within the TAP territory. The role may require regular travel to Malaysia, Vietnam, The Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia (1-2 times per month).
