Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Subject matter expert in the area of Purification (DSP), with in-depth knowledge and experience in leading Technology Transfer and other technical projects.
• Utilize technical influence and strong scientific knowledge to drive Technology Transfer and monitor state of control of process, provide direction and oversight on resolution of complex issues, introduction of new bioprocessing technologies and site / global network continuous improvement initiatives, through collaboration with Lonza multi-disciplinary teams / Lonza global network / Lonza’s Customers.
• Provide oversight for a team of engineers / lead timely and successful Technology Transfer of customer’s manufacturing process(es) into the Lonza Singapore production facility. Monitor processes on a regular basis to ensure process remains in a state of control and prospectively identify any issues in a specific process or across processes.
• Provide oversight / lead the efforts to systematically identify potential root causes, develop solutions and resolve complex technical challenges / issues in multiple customer projects during process monitoring and technology transfer into Lonza Singapore production facility.
• Effectively communicate process issues to Lonza management (MSAT, MFG, QA), independently develop plan for resolution and drive resolution with customer technical and QA groups with a strong sense of urgency to minimize process/project impact.
• Lead multifunctional teams within Lonza and globally to address site/network improvement projects.
• Responsible as the process technical lead for the introduction of new bioprocessing technology into Lonza Singapore production facility, work closely with cross functional teams from Manufacturing (MFG), Quality Assurance (QA), Engineering (ENG), and other departments.
• Provide oversight / lead the MSAT assessment / adoption of new process changes / modifications and governing procedures into existing customer’s manufacturing process(es) in Lonza Singapore production facility.
• Identify and recommend technical improvements for MSAT / site practices and procedures. Support / lead the site / global network improvement efforts across MSAT teams, cross functional teams or global network sites.
• Support inspections and audits by customer and regulatory authorities.
• Provide technical guidance and share process knowledge to MSAT team members and other departments.
• Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's in chemical engineering, Biochemical engineering, biochemistry /Chemistry/microbiology or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in Purification in biotech industry
• Excellent communication skills and able to work well in a cross functional technical environment.
• Demonstrated track record in completing projects under tight timelines.
