Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks a candidate to design and develop Hybrid Electric Drive Systems. The role requires a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Candidates should be familiar with CAD software and possess strong analytical skills. This position involves hands-on work in the workshop and collaboration within a team environment.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in system development life cycle environment.
  • Competent with CAD Software such as Unigraphics and SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge in drafting, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and development of Hybrid Electric Drive Systems
  • Design and define Hybrid Electric Drive Architecture
  • Sizing, selection and integration of Electric Machines, High Voltage Power Electronics, Thermal Management System
  • Define control algorithms for Hybrid Electric Drive Systems
  • Develop conceptual and detailed modelling tools (preferably AMESIM) to identify potential impacts and benefits at the vehicle/system level
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience in system development life cycle environment
  • Keen interest in Automotive Powertrain & Driveline technology
  • Must be competent with CAD Software such as Unigraphics and SolidWorks
  • Knowledge in drafting, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) preferred
  • Able to read and interpret fabrication/ mechanical/ assembly drawings
  • Able to read and interpret electrical/ hydraulics/ pneumatic schematics
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Possessing a valid class 3 license is a plus
  • Able to work independently and effectively with peers, resourceful and keen to learn
  • Must be a team player with good communication skills
  • Willing to perform hands-on work in the workshop/on the vehicle
