Job summary
A leading technology manufacturer in Singapore is seeking a technician for Mechanical and Electrical Assembly. Responsibilities include assembly, testing, and maintaining Capital Equipment while adhering to quality and safety standards. Candidates should possess a Higher NITEC/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering and demonstrate strong hands-on skills. The role may require overtime and shift work.

Responsibilities
- Perform Mechanical and Electrical Assembly and Testing.
- Prepare Capital Equipment for shipment.
- Ensure production schedule is met by monitoring material delivery.
- Conduct Preventive Maintenance on equipment.
- Monitor calibration schedules for tools.

Scope of work
- To perform the Mechanical and Electrical Assembly, Laser Optics Alignment, Calibration and Final Testing on Capital Equipment in according to Technical Instructions.
- To work with vendor to perform the preparation of Capital Equipment for shipment.
- To complete the Capital Equipment, build with the takt time.
- To monitor and expedite materials delivery to ensure production schedule are met.
- To own and be responsible for the entire process of Capital Equipment build, adhering to Company Quality and Safety Requirements
- To conduct Preventive Maintenance on equipment promptly.
- To monitor calibration schedule for tools and ensure they are calibrated timely in according to schedule.
- Expected to be trained and work on 2 or more Capital Equipment
Requirements
- Higher NITEC/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering
- Technically competent and like hands-on
- Take pride in building and outputting quality Capital Equipment.
- Able to work independently after qualification.
- Able to communicate and work comfortably with all levels and to raise work issues to Production Management
- Willing to take on more tasks and the hunger for new knowledge.
- Quality and Safety mindset and meticulous in your work.
- Able to use or operate basic testing / troubleshooting tools i.e. Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscope etc.
- Able to work OT on weekday and weekends.
- Able to work night/rotating shift if required.
- Prior experience in similar field will be an added advantage
