About the Role

We are looking for a System Engineer to support product industrialization and design transfer activities. The role focuses on applying Design for Excellence (DfX) principles, ensuring manufacturability, quality compliance, and effective collaboration between R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Design Transfer activities by applying Design for Excellence (DfX) principles throughout the product lifecycle

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned systems and provide technical guidance and training where required

  • Serve as a liaison between R&D, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to ensure smooth product industrialization

  • Conduct design reviews to ensure ease of assembly, manufacturability, and high production yield

  • Support the use of assembly and test fixtures to validate product designs

  • Drive cost efficiencies through:

    • System design optimization during the development phase

    • Application of LEAN manufacturing principles

  • Ensure product development considers future sustaining and lifecycle support activities

  • Design and develop assembly and test jigs / fixtures as required

  • Ensure engineering and manufacturing documentation complies with Design and Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS) requirements

  • Develop and manage engineering workflows to ensure compliance with QMS and regulatory standards

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, or related disciplines) or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a product development or industrialization environment

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with Design for Excellence (DfX) principles

  • Experience working with engineering lifecycle and requirement management tools such as DOORS, JAMA, and SAP

  • Experience participating in or supporting design transfer and manufacturing readiness activities

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly, and test methodologies

Good-to-Have Skills
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment (e.g. medical, life sciences, industrial instruments)

  • Electromechanical system experience

  • Familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Electrical CAD tools such as Altium Designer
