Job description
Responsibilities
  • Conduct system error budget and specs allocation to each subsystem
  • Perform system level troubleshooting, narrow down the root cause with data analysis and give directions on rectification actions
  • Develop and test on algorithm of interferometric data processing and image processing
  • Conduct optical system architecture analysis
  • Design test plan and conduct test for system error budgeting
  • Design, assembly, test, analysis, and characterization of optical systems
  • Lead product prototype integration and its performance characterization
Requirements
  • Competence in system level troubleshooting
  • Familiar with measurement uncertainty quantification, propagation, and error budgets
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in common programming language for data analysis or modeling, such as Python/Matlab/C
  • Competence and solid understanding in measurement system analysis, such as GR&R, ANOVA, DOE
  • Hands‑on experience with precision instrumentation and calibration, such as interferometry, spectroscopy, and dimensional metrology, is a plus
  • PhD in Science or Engineering
