Job Purpose
Lead and manage end-to-end physical logistics operations for Singapore, ensuring safe, compliant, cost-effective, and sustainable movement of goods from production to customer delivery. Drive operational excellence while adapting to the constraints of a small market footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Compliance: Achieve zero accidents through proactive risk management and compliance with Nestlé safety standards.
- Warehousing & Distribution: Optimize limited warehouse space and manage 3PL partnerships effectively. Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to all customer locations.
- Cost Efficiency: Implement cost-saving initiatives (e.g., cross-border logistics, consolidation). Monitor KPIs like Cost per Case (CCU) and Delivery Cost Optimization (COD).
- Sustainability: Reduce carbon footprint through route optimization and green logistics practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with regional hubs (e.g., Malaysia NDC) for shared resources and synergies.
- Talent Development: Build capability within a lean team; ensure succession planning and coaching.
Performance Indicators
- Safety: Zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI), 100% incident reporting.
- Service: On-Time Delivery (OTD) ≥ 98%, Customer Order Fulfillment (COF) compliance.
- Cost: Achieve annual logistics cost reduction targets (e.g., 5–10%).
- Sustainability: Reduction in CO₂ emissions per ton-km.
- Efficiency: Inventory accuracy ≥ 99%, minimal overflow storage.
Critical Experiences
- 8–10 years in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably in FMCG.
- Proven experience in small-market operations and cross-border logistics.
- Strong knowledge of 3PL management, digital tools, and regulatory compliance.
