Job summary

A leading logistics firm in Singapore is searching for a Supply Chain Executive who will be responsible for coordinating international shipments and managing shipping documentation. The successful candidate will liaise with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of goods while complying with all international shipping and customs regulations. Strong organizational and communication skills are a must. Experience in logistics or freight coordination is preferred.

Position Summary

The Supply Chain Executive is responsible for coordinating international shipments, managing shipping documentation, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of goods. This role works closely with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, internal sales, procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to support smooth end-to-end supply chain operations while ensuring compliance with international shipping and customs regulations.

Job Scope
  1. Coordinate with overseas suppliers on cargo readiness.
  2. Arrange shipments into Singapore and transfers to overseas bonded warehouses.
  3. Source for sea and air freight quotations to optimise costs and operations efficiencies.
  4. Meticulous in following up with suppliers and freight forwarders on cargo shipment and document updates
  5. Diligent in processing shipping documents and monitoring shipment movements.
  6. Update shipping schedules timely to ensure accuracy and completeness of delivery schedules.
  7. Update Sales and Procurement business units on shipping schedules.
  8. Work with Logistics and Warehouse business units on incoming shipments.
  9. Prepare landed cost computation for incoming shipments.
  10. Liaise with freight forwarders and suppliers on damaged shipment claims.
  11. Update suppliers and procurement team promptly on quantity and type discrepancies of goods shipped.
  12. Be familiar with and ensure compliance with international shipping requirements, customs regulations and documentation.
  13. Any other tasks as assigned from time to time.
Requirements & Skills
  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in shipping, logistics, or freight coordination preferred.
  • Familiarity with international shipping terms, customs regulations, and documentation processes.
  • Strong coordination and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across departments and regions.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and shipping or ERP systems.
