Job summary

A well-established manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead material planning and procurement functions. You will manage the end-to-end supply of materials, monitor forecasts, and develop processes in compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the label printing or manufacturing sectors, and possesses strong analytical and leadership skills. A diploma or degree in a relevant field is required.

Job Description

You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply of materials to support production schedules and ensure operational continuity. The role involves materials planning, supplier management, cost control, and leading a team of buyers and logistics staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the supply of materials to meet production schedules and stock level targets.
• Monitor key materials and coordinate with Sales/CS for accurate material forecasts.
• Work closely with vendors to maintain JIT and buffer stock arrangements.
• Minimise inventory holding cost and obsolescence.
• Source and evaluate alternative materials with the New Product Development team.
• Develop and implement material planning and delivery processes in line with ISO, AVL and RBA standards.
• Analyse usage data and prepare material expenditure and vendor performance reports.
• Lead and mentor a team of purchasing, store, and logistics personnel.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely material delivery.
• Support supplier evaluation, sourcing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in material planning, procurement or supply chain management.
• Experience in label printing, die-cutting or manufacturing industry preferred.
• Hands-on experience with ERP / MRP systems and MS Office applications.
• Strong analytical, planning, negotiation and leadership skills.
• Results-oriented, organised and able to work under pressure.
