Job description
Job Purpose

The Supervisor, Fleet Management is responsible for overseeing the issuance, maintenance, and operational readiness of fleet vehicles. This role ensures timely handovers, regulatory compliance, and efficient coordination with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare vehicle issuance documents, including car park letters, equipment checklists, mechanical checklists, and familiarisation forms, for submission to the Customer Service Centre (CSC).
  • Understand fleet processes thoroughly and develop clear work instructions based on operational workflows.
  • Ensure vehicles are cleaned (washed and vacuumed), equipped with all required items, and undergo quality checks before issuance to new or existing taxi hirers.
  • Conduct familiarisation sessions to educate hirers on taxi operations.
  • Coordinate towing services for vehicles affected by approved hirer absences (for example, medical leave, hospitalisation, licence suspension by the Traffic Police, or vocational licence revocation by LTA). Perform monthly audits and consolidate towing service invoices.
  • Manage NEA notices regarding black smoke emissions. Notify hirers to return taxis for repairs and ensure follow-up inspections at Vicom are completed within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Track and recover company‑issued items (for example, vehicle keys, child booster seats, company passes) not returned by ex‑hirers, and communicate with ex‑partners via SMS as required.
  • Monitor and maintain accountability for AED devices issued to drivers, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Process driver clearance with Credit Management for final account settlement upon hirer exit.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Supervisor on taxi de‑registration processes, including end‑of‑life vehicles or those deemed beyond economical repair. Notify affected taxi hirers and arrange for vehicle replacements.
  • Manage inspection procedures for un‑hired vehicles by informing the taxi workshop of the required pre‑inspection list. Upon completion, update the Senior Supervisor to schedule vehicle inspections.
  • Support ad hoc projects and assignments as directed by the Fleet Manager or Senior Executive.
