Job description

Our client, a prominent and well-established US MNC in the manufacturing industry, is looking to strengthen their finance team by hiring a Subledger Financial Operations Controller. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end subledger operations, ensuring strong financial controls, process efficiency, and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage subledger financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and related financial processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate subledger close activities, reconciliations, and alignment with the general ledger.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with US GAAP, local statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and shared service centres to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows.
• Support audits by ensuring proper documentation, controls, and compliance across subledger processes.
• Monitor KPIs and performance metrics for financial operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, with CA/CPA qualification preferred.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience, ideally within an MNC environment.
• Strong experience in subledger operations, financial controls, and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting processes.
• Prior experience managing teams or working with shared service environments is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
