Job summary

An educational institution in Singapore is seeking a dedicated individual to teach primary school subjects. Responsibilities include planning lessons, supervising homework, and monitoring student progress. Candidates should possess a Diploma / WSQ Student-Care Certification, be fluent in English and another language, and enjoy working with young children. This full-time role requires a commitment from Monday to Friday, with varied hours during school terms and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / WSQ Student-Care Certified.
  • Familiar with MOE syllabus or have prior working experience as a tutor/teacher.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English and one other mother tongue language.
  • Ability to coach primary school level academic subjects.
  • Passionate and enjoy working with young children.
  • Outgoing personality and pleasant disposition.
  • Possess excellent work ethics and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver lessons.
  • Coach, supervise and ensure completion of daily school homework.
  • Conduct practices and tests for spelling (English and Mother tongue).
  • Ensure safe and timely transfer of students from school to student centre.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students.
  • Engage and provide regular update to parents and guardians on students’ progress and behaviour.
  • Mark students’ work.
  • Perform administrative duties and ensure upkeep of centre premises.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Centre Supervisor.

Working Hours

Full Time - Monday to Friday (11am to 8pm during school term; 8.5hrs+30mins lunch break shift work 7am-8pm during MOE school holidays & Home-Based Learning Days)
