Job description

Are you a Marine Crewing professional looking to join a ship owner in their strategic Marine HR teams in Singapore?

This is a great opportunity for someone with prior crewing background to leverage their skillsets in a more strategic role.

You will act as the owner’s representative for all crew-related matters ensuring that the right people are onboard our vessels, safeguarding the company’s interests while promoting a strong safety and welfare culture across a fleet.

The position goes beyond transactional crewing—it focuses on policy implementation, governance, and consistency across ship managers, while supporting retention strategies in a niche trade with limited talent.

Key responsibilities include conducting pre-joining briefings for senior officers, organizing seminars and welfare initiatives, monitoring crew movement and performance data, and raising concerns to ship managers when standards are not met.

The Marine HR Associate also supports the Marine HR Leader in administrative tasks, insurance claims, and incident investigations to prevent recurrence and protect the company’s interests. This role requires strong crewing knowledge, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to balance operational support with strategic oversight to ensure compliance with international regulations (STCW, MLC) and deliver a positive experience for seafarers.
