The Company

Our client is a leading European player in the commodity trading industry, specializing in bulk commodities. Seeking a Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. As part of their global expansion, they are establishing a new trading desk in Singapore and are presenting a unique opportunity to build the finance function from the ground up and play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s operations in Asia.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Global CFO, you will be responsible for setting up the finance function, including processes, procedures, and systems, while managing the full spectrum of finance and accounting activities. You will lead a lean team and work closely with senior stakeholders locally and across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage the finance function for the Singapore trading desk.
  • Develop and implement financial processes, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Oversee full‑spectrum finance operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to provide financial insights and support strategic decision‑making.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA with the following relevant experience:

  • CA/CPA
  • Minimum 5 years of experience handling full‑spectrum finance and accounting within a commodity trading environment.
  • Proven experience in setting up finance and accounting functions, including processes and systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders across regions.
  • Hands‑on, meticulous, and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment.
