The Company

Our client is a global leader in the high-tech manufacturing industry, renowned for innovation and operational excellence. They are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead financial controllership and reporting functions while providing strategic support in FP&A for R&D and SG&A operating costs.

The Role

In this leadership role, you will manage a team of 15 finance professionals across Singapore and Malaysia, overseeing the full spectrum of financial controllership including US GAAP compliance, month‑end close, and corporate reporting. While the primary focus will be on financial reporting and controllership, you will also support FP&A activities related to R&D and SG&A costs. This position requires strong collaboration with regional teams and manufacturing operations in China.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the financial reporting team to ensure timely and accurate month‑end close and US GAAP reporting.
  • Oversee management accounting, internal controls, and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives across finance and operational workflows.
  • Support FP&A activities for R&D and SG&A operating costs, including budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Partner with business and operations leaders to provide financial insights for strategic decision‑making.
  • Liaise with China‑based operations teams and global finance stakeholders to ensure alignment and accuracy.
  • Coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA with the following relevant experience:

  • CPA/CA qualification (or equivalent).
  • At least 10–12 years of all-rounded controllership experience, including financial reporting, compliance, and FP&A.
  • Exposure to inventory‑based businesses and familiarity with matrix organizations and complex business models.
  • Proven leadership experience; ideally experience in managing team of 10 or more.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across regions.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise with China operations and review documentation.
  • Hands‑on, meticulous, and solutions‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Prior experience in high‑tech manufacturing or similar industries is highly advantageous.
