The Company

Our client is a market leader in real estate development, investment, and hospitality, with a strong track record of delivering iconic projects and creating long-term value for stakeholders. As they continue their expansion across Asia, they are seeking an experienced Senior Manager / AVP for Tax to join their team.

The Role

Reporting to the VP Finance, you will have full responsibility for the tax function across APAC, covering Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, and China. This is a strategic and hands‑on role where you will

• Lead regional tax compliance, planning, and advisory to ensure efficiency and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Drive strategic tax planning initiatives to optimize effective tax rates and simplify group structures
• Support corporate reorganizations, joint ventures, and M&A activities from a tax perspective, including transaction tax optimization and fund flow structuring
• Monitor and interpret new tax developments, assess implications for the business, and provide clear insights to senior management
• Liaise with regional tax consultants and tax authorities, building strong external relationships
• Review and enhance existing tax practices, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cost optimization

Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following relevant skill sets and experience

• Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a reputable university. At least 10 years of relevant experience, including prior Big 4 background and exposure to both tax compliance and advisory
• Prior exposure in supporting M&A activities
• Experience within the real estate sector is highly preferred but not essential
• Dynamic, proactive, resilient, with excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills
• Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
