Position Overview

TPS is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with deepknowledge in semiconductor facility design, including HVAC systems, cleanrooms,and process utilities. The successful candidate will lead mechanical designdeliverables, perform engineering calculations, conduct CFD simulations, andprepare tender specifications for fast-track EPC/EPCM projects.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical & Cleanroom Design

• Lead design of AHU/MAUsystems, FFU layouts, chilled water systems, dry coils, CDA/N2 utilities,exhaust systems, and cleanroom airflow concepts.
• Conduct heat-loadcalculations, psychrometric evaluation, airflow balance, pressure cascadedesign, and equipment sizing.

CFD & Engineering Analysis

• Perform ANSYSCFD simulations for airflow, thermal behaviour, and particle controlinside cleanrooms and controlled environments.
• Interpretsimulation results and optimise designs to meet ISO cleanroomclassifications and environmental stability requirements.

Detailed Engineering Documentation

• Prepare detaileddesign drawings, schematics, and mechanical layout plans usingAutoCAD/Revit/BIM.
• Producemechanical schedules, system diagrams, and material specifications.

Tender & Technical Submissions

• Prepare technicalspecifications, design narratives, and Basis-of-Design (BOD) documents.
• Support tenderevaluations, respond to clarifications, and participate in design reviews.

Project Coordination

• Work closelywith multidisciplinary teams and support authority submissions (BCA, SCDF,NEA, JTC).
• Provide designclarifications during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.

Requirements

• Degree in MechanicalEngineering or related discipline.
• 5–8 years ofrelevant design experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, or high-techmanufacturing facilities.
• Strongproficiency in ANSYS CFD or equivalent simulation tools.
• Solidexperience in mechanical calculations, HVAC sizing, cleanroom engineering,and relevant codes (FM Global, NFPA 318, SS553, Fire Code, ASHRAE).
• Strongtechnical writing capability for preparing specifications and engineeringreports.
• Independent,detail-oriented, and able to lead design tasks with minimal supervision.
