Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Spirits Category Executive with at least 1 year of experience in trade marketing or consumer marketing. The role requires a strong balance of on-the-ground activation execution and strategic commercial support.
You will be closely involved in trade marketing campaigns, outlet activations, brand promotions, and category growth initiatives — working hand-in-hand with sales, marketing, and brand teams to deliver impactful campaigns and business results.
Responsibilities
Trade Marketing & Activations
- Plan, coordinate, and execute activations across on-trade and off-trade outlets.
- Be on the ground to oversee activations, ensuring flawless setup and execution.
- Partner with agencies, vendors, and outlet partners to manage activation logistics.
- Work closely with the sales team to align trade promotions and ensure smooth execution.
Brand & Campaign Management
- Assist in campaign planning and implementation for spirits brands under your portfolio.
- Manage brand visibility at point of sale (POSM deployment, merchandising, branding).
- Support new product launches with channel-specific trade programs.
- Track competitor activities, market trends, and consumer insights to inform strategy.
Reporting, Data & Commercial Support
- Monitor and report on campaign effectiveness, KPIs, and ROI.
- Prepare post-activation and monthly performance reports for management.
- Manage and track A&P (Advertising & Promotion) budgets, including spend forecasting and reconciliation.
- Provide sales data analysis to support category and brand performance reviews.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Finance, Logistics) to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain strong working relationships with outlet managers and external partners.
- Ensure alignment between brand strategy and trade execution.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in trade marketing, consumer marketing, FMCG, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting, pivot tables, basic formulas).
- Strong presentation and deck-building skills using PowerPoint and/or Canva.
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage both internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable with a mix of office-based work and on-ground outlet visits.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Passion for the spirits and beverage industry is a strong advantage.
