Job Description

The Singapore Population Health Studies (SPHS) is a large scale population-based health research project by the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore. We are looking for a team player capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and who is service-oriented and good at time management. The role primarily involves performing dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scans on research participants within a health screening centre.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • 1. Obtain consent from research participants and perform health assessments including anthropometry, blood pressure measurement and ECG.
  • 2. (Upon completion of training) Perform bone densitometry and whole body composition scans on 20 participants per health screening session, keeping to the turnaround time per participant for that procedure.
  • 3. Review images and perform data entry accurately, noting any observation of anomalies.
  • 4. Analyse images and upload to the research database.
  • 5. Perform regular quality control and calibration procedures and maintenance of equipment.
  • 6. Update the inventory of consumables.
  • 7. Ensure the safety and protect the privacy of research participants by adhering to best practices. Reporting of incidents, complaints or adverse events.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in life or health sciences and minimum 2 years of any work experience, or degree in life or health sciences.
  • Full-time work hours are: 7.45am to 6.15pm on Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri; and 7.45am to 3.30pm on alternate Sat.
