A community-focused organization in Singapore is looking for a dedicated Officer to provide direct care and support to special needs children aged 7 to 18. This role involves planning and implementing developmental activities, engaging with caregivers, and ensuring the safety and holistic growth of students. Candidates should have at least O Levels/ITE/Diploma, with a passion for children and skills in collaboration and empathy. Training in First Aid and CPR will be provided.

Officer contributes actively to the programme needs of Special Student Care Centre under the umbrella of Community-Based Support Services (CSS).
CSS is the dynamic and nimble service delivery arm in MINDS that response to emerging needs of PWIDs and Caregivers in the community. Examples of services include Me Too! Club, Homebased Care Services, Caregivers Support Services, Special Student Care Centres and Appropriate Adult Services to enhance integration and community living of caregivers and PWIDs in the community.
Officer integrates a range of person centred and family centric approaches and utilise Positive Behavioural framework to conduct enrichment activities for special needs children from age 7 to 18. He/She enriches the quality of life of person with special needs by supervising and providing direct physical care needs before/after school. He/she implements after school care curriculum, adapting and integrating developmentally appropriate teaching and classroom management strategies. He/She also enhance clients learning environments and supports caregiver's needs in the care of their child. He/she coordinates with community stakeholders, volunteers and social service providers in the delivery of centre initiatives, programmes and services.
