Job summary

Position: Special Needs Trainer

Become an integral part of our team at Connexions Integrated Learning Centre and contribute positively to the lives of young adults with autism!

We are actively looking for a dedicated and talented Special Needs Teacher/Coach who can assist us in fostering a supportive atmosphere for our learners.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the development and welfare of our learners, while also experiencing a fulfilling and rewarding journey through the execution of the following tasks:

  • Provide attentive supervision to learners and prioritizing their safety and overall welfare at all times.
  • Proactively ensure the welfare and promote positive conduct among our learners, adhering to guidance and suggestions from supervisors and consultants to continually improve supervision methods while actively seeking avenues for enhancement.
  • Design and lead therapeutic and trainingactivities that are tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of our learners
  • Develop and manage an inventory of training materials, ensuring that they are up-to-date and readily available.
  • Uphold high cleanliness and safety standards within the centre, creating a comfortable and secure environment for everyone.
  • Demonstrate utmost respect for our learners confidentiality, maintaining their privacy at all times.
  • Foster and maintain a strong connection with their families.
  • Conduct assessment and maintain accurate records to monitor learner performance.
  • Develop and maintain a robust system for overseeing individualised performance plan (IPPs), attendance records, training program, and other administrative duties to assess their readiness for progression.

Qualification / Experience
