We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Solution Architect to drive presales, solution shaping, and demand generation initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, and solution strategy, working closely with commercial teams to articulate high-value SAP FICO solutions to enterprise customers.
The ideal candidate is customer-facing, commercially minded, and highly credible in translating finance transformation needs into compelling SAP-led value propositions. This role has limited delivery ownership and is heavily focused on winning new business and expanding existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Presales & Solutioning
- Act as the SAP FICO subject-matter expert in presales engagements, RFPs, RFIs, and proposals
- Lead solution architecture, scoping, and high-level design for SAP S/4 HANA Finance initiatives
- Translate customer finance challenges into business-driven SAP FICO solution narratives
- Own solution presentations, demos, and executive workshops for CFOs and finance leadership
Demand Generation & Go-to-Market
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Alliances teams to build demand-generation campaigns
- Contribute to industry-specific use cases, thought leadership, whitepapers, and POVs
- Support pipeline creation through events, webinars, roadshows, and client briefings
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across SAP Finance and adjacent solutions
Commercial & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Account Directors, and Partners (SAP, hyperscalers)
- Support deal shaping including value articulation, pricing inputs, and risk assessment
- Engage senior client stakeholders as a trusted advisor rather than a delivery lead
Internal Enablement
- Enable sales teams with SAP FICO positioning, competitive differentiation, and value messaging
- Stay current on SAP roadmap, S/4 HANA Finance innovations, and industry trends
- Provide guidance to delivery teams during handover, without owning execution
Required Skills & Experience
Core Experience
- 10+ years of experience in SAP Finance (FICO) roles
- Proven background as a Solution Architect, Presales Consultant, or Advisory Lead
- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance, including:
- Financial Accounting (FI)
- Controlling (CO)
- Central Finance, Group Reporting, or Treasury (preferred)
Presales & Commercial Strength
- Demonstrated success in presales, deal support, or solution consulting
- Ability to articulate business value, not just technical capability
- Strong experience responding to RFPs/RFIs and executive-level presentations
Soft Skills & Leadership
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
- Confident engaging C-suite and finance leadership
- Commercial mindset with strong business acumen
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced, sales-driven environments
- Experience in consulting, system integrators, or SAP partners
- Exposure to industry-specific finance transformations (manufacturing, retail, energy, etc.)
- SAP certifications in S/4HANA Finance or FICO
- Experience working with SAP ecosystem partners
