Overview
At Xtremax, we help government agencies and enterprises build robust, scalable, and future-ready digital systems. As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in defining the end-to-end architecture, translating business requirements into technical designs, and ensuring solutions align with the Customer’s enterprise architecture. This role combines technical leadership, system design, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver impactful digital solutions. Candidates with public sector experience are preferred, as this role supports IT projects for government agencies.
Architecture Design & Governance
- Define the end-to-end architecture for systems and ensure detailed design aligns with the customer’s enterprise architecture.
- Translate business and application resiliency requirements into architectural specifications.
- Design and maintain the architecture blueprint of the organisation’s business, information, and ICT assets using multiple architectural models.
- Govern and enhance the architecture blueprint to align business and ICT strategies.
Solutioning & Technology Alignment
- Propose products and solutions that comply with the customer’s enterprise architecture and standards.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies that align with the customer’s technology direction (e.g., cloud adoption, enterprise architecture, legacy system modernization, SG Tech Stack).
Development & Review
- Review source code and solutions as part of the software development lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership in system and architecture design, focusing on performance efficiency, cost optimization, security, reliability, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Must Have
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Must have 2–5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience as a tech lead or system architect, with expertise in system design, performance tuning, prototyping, and maintenance.
- Strong hands-on experience in full project development lifecycles.
- Solid technical expertise in .NET and/or J2EE application design and implementation.
- Strong data modelling and SQL skills.
- In-depth understanding of server-side .NET and/or Java development, Microservice Architecture, Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA), web services, and public-facing websites/e-services.
- Ability to evaluate and recommend technologies aligned with the Customer’s technology direction (e.g., cloud adoption, enterprise architecture, legacy system modernization, SG Tech Stack).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to design comprehensive and practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to pitch ideas and influence stakeholders.
- Results-driven and customer-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational and people management skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Singapore Government Project will be advantageous.
- Experience in cloud-native architectures and modern development practices.
- Familiarity with government technology frameworks, SG Tech Stack and digital transformation projects.
Certificate Preferred
- Cloud Solution Architect Certification (AWS, Azure or GCP) or equivalent
- TOGAF or SEI Software Architect Certification or IASA Certified IT Architect Profession or equivalent.
