About the Role:

The risk systems play an integral part in Grasshopper’s trades. As part of the team, you will be assisting in scaling and evolving our risk systems, contributing and working on our in-house platform to better support our traders and risk managers to help them make key, informed decisions.

As a key member of the Risk Engineering Team, you’ll:
  • Improve the existing system by introducing new feature requirements
  • Work closely with the risk managers to ensure requirements and features are met
  • Develop a deep understanding of the complete trading platform and work closely with other technical teams
  • Ensure day-to-day operations are running smoothly
  • Help drive process and operational discussions
We’d love for you to have:
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience working with Python
  • Familiar with Django and other Python-based frameworks
  • Robust knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of OOP programming, algorithms, data structures and design patterns
  • Solid understanding of Git, CI/CD and unit testing
Nice to haves:
  • Event-based message systems (e.g. RabbitMQ, Solace)
  • Distributed systems
  • Rust / C++ knowledge is an advantage
  • Prior GCP experience
  • AI knowledge and experience in using AI in software development
