About the Job

We’re hiring a Software Engineer to join a high-impact internal data platform initiative. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the 3rd phase of a multi-year cloud transformation project, which is nearing go-live and plays a critical role in ensuring enterprise-wide data integrity and operational efficiency.

You’ll be part of a cross-functional engineering team supporting the rollout and enhancement of a cloud-native platform. This system serves as the single source of truth for data across the firm. If you’re a developer who is passionate about AWS cloud development and solving complex business challenges, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain cloud-based components of the system using AWS services
• Write and optimize code in Java and/or Python, and SQL to support data reconciliation and business rule automation
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to ensure smooth transition from legacy systems
• Support system scalability and integration across evolving cloud architecture
• Engage with financial data models and contribute to business rule scripting in a unique internal language

Must-Have Skills

• 5–7 years of hands-on developer experience
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python, and SQL
• Experience with AWS, including services like SQS and SNS
• Strong understanding of cloud-based messaging and event-driven architectures
• Ability to explain technical solutions clearly and collaborate across teams
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, including proprietary scripting languages

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in financial services or interest in financial data systems
• Familiarity with data reconciliation processes and master data management concepts
