UCT is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join us in Singapore.

Job Summary

Support the Central Automation team in developing the new vision and Pick & Place software modules, for backend Automation machines and Automated Optical Inspection machines.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Must be an effective team player
• Develop solutions for software and control related activities
• Actively participate in the Automation machine build and testing of new products
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and provide solutions to technical problems related to software
• Work productively with all cross‑functional teams – manufacturing, planner, Quality Assurance
• Gather and analyze data with ability to format and present to internal teams
• Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with other automation team members to define requirements, develop and test solutions, and commission systems

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Experience and interest in working with: C#, .Net, Python, RPi, Arduino platform
• Strong communications (written, verbal, listening) and team skills
• Strong work ethic. Fast learner with energy and enthusiasm
• Computer skills, MS Office, Visio, Smartsheet
• Must be fluent in English both conversational and technical and must have the ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing

Educational/Certification Requirement

• BS or Diploma in Computer Science or related Engineering field
