About the Company

Our client is a well-established organization with a strong presence in the transport and infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer (Java) to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications.

• Design, develop and maintain Java-based application, ensuring code is clean and scalable;
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing and deployment;
• Troubleshoot issues, participate in code reviews, and maintain accurate technical documentation;
• Provide L3 support, implementing enhancements and resolving bugs;
• Optimise code and applications to improve performance and reliability;
• Work closely with cross-functional teams for resolution of critical issues.

Requirements

• Tertiary education in information technology, computer science or any relevant discipline;
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role would be an advantage;
• Strong proficiency in Java and its frameworks, as well as SQL and Oracle databases;
• Familiarity with cloud services would be an advantage;
• Driven attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies and skills;
• Ability to work well independently;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
