Job description

The Social Work Assistant will manage the intake process at the clinic, which includes collaboration with community partners, conducting enrolment and intake to potential pregnant mothers, and coordination of services for eligible clients in the programme.

Job Description
  • Administration of various consent forms to facilitate patient’s enrolment onto the KidSTART @KKH KIDS 0-3 program.
  • Gathers accurate and crucial information as needed, adhering to PDPA and hospital guidelines.
  • Utilizes strong communication and relationship-building abilities when engaging with antenatal patients, clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Attends to enquiries and phone calls.
  • Consults KIDS 0-3 Medical Social Workers/ Senior Medical Social Workers to assign enrolled and triaged patients to the Wellbeing Coordinator/ Community Health Visitor.
  • Escalates cases up to MSW/ Senior MSWs for consult and guidance on cases requiring assistance.
  • Maintains documentations and complete reporting requirements according to organization standards.
  • Attend in-service talks/lectures to maintain competency, understanding of Programme and for self-development.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Program Lead, Medical Social Workers or HOD.
Job Requirement
  • Higher NITEC/NITEC/GCE "O"/"N"/"A" level with at least 4 years relevant experience.
  • Those with Advanced Certificate in Social Service are welcomed.
  • Willingness to undergo Certificate in Basic Counselling Skill training.
  • Desire in working in a helping profession.
  • Ability to receive and attend to patients at the reception area.
  • Ability to Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to speak a second language.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
