Job description

St Joseph’s Institution International is a Catholic and Lasallian school that provides a quality international education to a diverse student body, rooted in the community of Singapore. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, conscientious and proactive individual to join us as:

Social Media Marketing Executive
Overview

The Social Media Marketing Executive plays a key role in strengthening SJI International’s digital presence by creating, publishing, and monitoring engaging content across all official social media channels. Working closely with the Assistant Manager Digital Marketing, this role supports the development of content that reflects the school’s vision and values, promotes events and achievements, and enhances engagement with parents, students, staff, alumni and the wider community.

The position requires a creative communicator with a strong understanding of social media trends, visual storytelling and digital best practices, capable of balancing day-to-day content production with strategic contribution to campaigns and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Assistant Manager Digital Marketing in delivering engaging, brand-aligned content across all official school social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the school’s overall marketing and communication objectives.
  • Plan, draft and schedule regular social media content to promote school events, initiatives and achievements, ensuring a consistent tone of voice and message across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. This includes developing captions, hashtags and visuals that reflect the school’s personality and values.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as academic staff, event organisers, and student leaders to gather stories, photos, videos and approvals to meet content deadlines, ensuring all published content is accurate and appropriate.
  • Design social media graphics and short-form videos, or liaise with the Marketing and Communications Executives and Content Executive to produce visual content that aligns with brand guidelines and enhances audience engagement.
  • Monitor social media channels daily to respond to comments, messages and mentions in a timely and professional manner, escalating sensitive issues to the Assistant Manager where required, and maintaining a warm, respectful tone that reflects the school’s Lasallian ethos.
  • Assist in the rollout of both paid and organic social media campaigns, including scheduling, audience targeting, budget tracking and performance reporting. Contribute ideas to improve engagement, reach and impact using data and analytics.
  • Track and analyse key performance metrics using platform insights and analytics tools, compiling regular reports and identifying opportunities to refine content strategy and audience growth.
  • Support the HR department in recruitment campaigns, particularly on LinkedIn, by developing and scheduling posts that highlight the school’s culture, community and career opportunities, supporting employer branding and talent attraction.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends and tools, providing recommendations to improve the school’s digital storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Provide occasional photography and videography support for key school events and campaigns, ensuring social media coverage is dynamic and timely.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and positive team culture, supporting the wider Communications, Marketing and Advancement initiatives and assisting in events and school-wide projects when needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in managing social media accounts for an organisation or brand, ideally in an education or non-profit setting.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content planning, and digital storytelling.
  • Skilled in copywriting for social media with excellent written English and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in design and content creation tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut).
  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics and paid promotion tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative, adaptable and proactive team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Familiarity with photography, video editing or digital media production is an advantage.
