Join Standard Chartered’s 12-month SME Banking Apprenticeship Programme to gain hands‑on experience in SME client relationship management and banking products.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Build prospects via marketing calls and expand existing customer relationships through proactive contact and account management.
- Assist Relationship Managers (RMs) in sales closures and provide excellent customer service.
- Understand the client onboarding process for SME Banking, including product and lending programmes.
- Partner with Relationship Managers and Credit Analysts to perform end‑to‑end Business Credit Applications and/or annual reviews for borrowing clients.
- Learn about SME client products, including cash management, loans, trade, investments, insurance, and hedging solutions.
- Provide regular feedback to management on products and processes based on customer feedback.
- Participate in two 6‑month rotations involving projects, structured training, mentorship, and on‑the‑job learning.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Polytechnic graduates from any Diploma discipline with less than 2 years of working experience.
- Permanent legal right to work in Singapore.
- Keen interest in the Banking and Finance industry.
- Good customer service and telemarketing skills with a willingness to engage customers via tele‑conversations.
- Strong team player with a self‑driven, self‑motivated, and proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Responsive, contactable, and accountable to clients and internal stakeholders.
