Job summary

A local engineering firm in Singapore seeks a Resident Technical Officer responsible for the supervision and monitoring of civil and structural works. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in building works with a strong understanding of statutory requirements. The position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with RE/RTO accreditation. This role is key to ensuring compliance with building specifications and standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building works, preferably in industrial building/development with prestressed (PT) elements.
  • Registered and valid RE/RTO accredited by the Joint Accreditation Committee of Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) or Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).
  • Registered under Singapore Structural Steel Society (SSSS) as a registered steelwork supervisor.
  • Conversant in statutory code and requirements.
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor civil, structural, architectural, and M&E works.
  • Conduct in-progress inspections and identify non-conformity.
  • Attend site, coordination, and quality meetings.
  • Witness inspection and testing sessions to ensure compliance.
