Job summary

A renowned construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Project Manager or Construction Manager to oversee M&E works. The role involves developing, planning, and supervising various mechanical and electrical systems, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, and managing project schedules. Ideal candidates should have at least 5 years of experience as an M&E Site Supervisor and possess a Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in high-pressure environments are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years working on site as M&E Site Supervisor.
• Experience in residential/commercial projects of $5 million and above.
• Good understanding of codes & regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and supervise M&E works including HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems.
• Coordinate M&E works with construction aspects and liaise with stakeholders.
• Monitor project status and update project schedules.
• Provide solutions for M&E technical issues.
• Maintain records of site events and prepare analysis reports.

Job description

ALL JOBS LISTED ARE BASED IN SINGAPORE ONLY. FOR SINGAPOREAN ONLY. Assist Project Manager / Construction Manager / M&E Manager to manage and execute the M&E work so that the project will complete in accordance with the authority requirement and consultant design, at the same time meet the safety, quality and schedule requirement.

Duties and Responsibility

• Develop, plan and supervise M&E works (Mechanical – HVAC, Plumbing & Sanitary / Gas, Fire Protection. Electrical – Power & Lighting, Earthing & Lightning Protection, Extra Low Voltage System, Lift installation, Fire Alarm etc).
• Coordinate M&E works with all aspects of construction and liaise with Client, building professionals, sub-contractors.
• Monitor project status, site progress and update project schedule.
• Expected to provide solutions for M&E technical issues.
• Maintain the record of the site event / activities and preparation of analysis report.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Interpretation of M&E drawings, method statements, good understanding of codes & regulations will be an advantage.
• Must be a team player and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
• Understanding of critical project criteria related to schedule & productivity.
• Ability to remain calm and productive in a high-pressure environment.

Background, Experience

• 5 years working on site as M&E Site Supervisor.
• Experience in working as M&E Site Engineer in the residential / commercial of $5 million and above.
• Competency in MS Office, BIM, Navisworks and ACAD would be an advantage.

Education

Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related course.
