Job summary

A construction management firm in Singapore seeks an individual to assist in tender management by calculating costs and reviewing quotations. The role requires liaising with suppliers, preparing budget estimates, and providing solutions to technical issues. Candidates should ideally have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and experience in new-build projects will be an advantage. Job description
  • Assist the Project Manager in calculating quantities and costs for various tender submissions, and review supplier/contractor quotations to ensure full compliance with requirements.
  • Be familiar with and able to interpret general contracts and tender documents.
  • Prepare budget estimates or costings as instructed.
  • Liaise with suppliers to arrange product and service presentations.
  • Provide solutions to technical issues that arise during the tender process.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments when handling documents and resolving issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers/contractors to follow up on bills, quantities, and related matters.
  • Review and evaluate market unit rates for materials and labour on a monthly or quarterly basis.
  • Hand over all tender documents and costings to the project team once a tender is awarded.
  • Attend site show-rounds for tenders the company intends to participate in.
  • Prepare tender clarifications, and support tender interviews and presentations.
  • Experience in new-build projects will be an added advantage.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering (as Quantity Surveyor) is preferred.
