Job summary

An established recruitment agency is seeking a candidate for export documentation and supply chain management in Singapore. The ideal applicant will handle international shipping documentation, assist with regulatory compliance, and improve operational processes. Proficiency in MS Excel and a diploma in Business or Supply Chain are required. The role offers a monthly salary of $2000 - $3000 and additional bonuses.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a Diploma in Business or Supply Chain.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Excel is required.
  • Experience in shipping is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create export documents for international shipments.
  • Deliver information to import brokers and resolve issues.
  • Report mandatory export data to government agencies.
  • Assist sales groups with documentation requirements.
  • Screen transactions for license determination.
  • Maintain department records according to policy.
  • Identify and improve processes and procedures.
  • Work directly with carriers for pricing and service.
  • Provide customer service through tracking and routing.
  • Negotiate rates and ensure audit accuracy.
  • Identify operational opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

Company Details
  • 1 year renewable contract

  • Basic $2000 - $3000 + 1 month completion bonus
  • Working location: Loyang
  • 5.5 days Alternate Saturday (8.30am to 5.30pm ; 8.30am to 12.30pm)
  • Company transport: Tampines MRT
Job Responsibilities
  • Creates export documents including, but not limited to, commercial invoices, shipper’s letters of instruction, carrier waybills, and shipper’s export declaration for each international shipment.
  • Delivering information to import broker, post clearance monitoring, resolving possible import issues.
  • Reports mandatory export data to government agencies for each international shipment which meets the specified requirements.
  • Researches and assists sales groups with pre and post shipment support which may include documentation requirements, shipment resolution and customs clearance issues.
  • Creates necessary documentation to facilitate both domestic and international shipments.
  • Screens transactions for license determination in accordance with export regulations.
  • Catalogues department records and maintains and updates files in accordance with record retention policy.
  • Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.
  • Works directly with carriers to ensure both pricing and service levels are achieved and maintained.
  • Provides customer service through tracking, tracing, routing, supply-chain model creation and carrier management.
  • May negotiate rates and follow-up audit to ensure accuracy.
  • Identifies areas of operational opportunity, and creating and implementation of solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in shipping preferred
