Job description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support our Ship Management Department in a role that combines accounting, finance support, and administrative coordination. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with in-house and third-party ship managers, contributing to the smooth financial reporting and operational oversight of our marine activities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of full spectrum of vessel accounting
  • Undertake marine accounting work, creating AP, AR and GL and provide support in preparing vessel expenses report which includes generating monthly and quarterly settlement reports from the system
  • Review the monthly expenses invoice to ensure the cost incurred are properly charged according to the budget allocation
  • Monitor and review the procurement supply from vessel managers
  • Coordinate with vessel managers in preparation for contracts
  • Assist with the preparation of the marine insurance renewal and termination
  • Process insurance invoice and maintain the records
  • Assist all necessary documents for audit purpose
  • Take minutes for ongoing project meetings
  • Other administrative ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma, preferably in Accounting, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Data Management or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in shipping or ship management companies handling vessel expenses or accounting matters
  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary (i.e. during monthly closing)
  • Independent and meticulous
  • Good team player with positive working attitude
